Am I allergic to cherries?

Tonight I ate a snack of cherries.  Then my throat started itching terribly.  I gargled w/ salt water but it didn't help right away.  Now it has subsided an hour later.  My left eye is also itching right now.  I looked up cherry allergies and they are associated with birch pollen allergies.
